The MS Degree Program offers advanced level training and education in Computer Science. KSI's program is an unrivaled blend of practical knowledge, real-world project applications and theoretical expertise. We serve domestic and international students at our Chicago campus and online. Our degree program is affordable and can be completed in one to two years. The course sechdules and formats are designed to provide working students with the necessary flexibility to pursue a career and advanced education simultaneously.

Areas of Concentration

Students are required to complete the Required Cores Courses listed under the area of concentration in which they are enrolled. Courses listed as Area Courses may be substituted with other graduate level courses with advisor and Dean approval. Areas of concentration are academic programs that allow a student to focus on specialized areas of computer and information sciences. The student who wishes to specialize in an area of concentration should take one (1) more course in addition to the nine (9) courses required by the standard Master's in Computer and Information Sciences Degree Program. Students lacking an adequate computer science background are required to take five prerequisite courses including:

Adequate background in CIS is considered a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.S.) in Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university. Incoming students may also take waiver exams for individual prerequisite courses.
