This piece is a collaboration between Alice Wang and Gabriel Smith created in conjunction with the film project: the los box http://www.thelosbox.com. The clip remains unused in the final cuts of the interrogation scene, but the concept of creating a transition between the 17th meta level and the middleware remains a major creative consideration. In this clip, the effect of entering the mind of uriel.17 and proceeding through the stock footage and animation depicting a motion through time (theta, thyme, etc.) resulted in a nice standalone short piece. The title refers to the nineteen year cycle of convergence of lunar and solar years. The images play into the film's plot concerning the camerotilus, a central node in thyme's middleware where the flower (female) and butterfly (male) converge. See also: LiuSmith Metonic Convergence I
