Knowledge Systems Institute provides an opportunity to bridge the gap between scholarship and professionalism with its applied practicum course. Under the course title of Applied CIS Practicum (CIS600), Knowledge Systems Institute offers academic practica within each area of concentration. This practicum course allows students to earn credits while being exposed to real-world scenarios with limited and/or predetermined objectives in either a setting within the Institute or outside the Institute with an employer (that is subject to the approval of the Director of Research and/or Director of Academic Affairs). It may be full-time, part-time or once a week, and, though it is incorporated into the academic term, it may offer remuneration.
