Knowledge Systems Institute (KSI) is a not-for- profit institution governed by an independent Board of Directors. Its mission is to provide instruction in computer and information sciences and prepare students for successful careers in the IT and computer science industry. KSI’s faculty of recognized experts use state-of- the-art facilities and advanced computer systems to create a learning environment to support students in the rapidly evolving technology industry.

The institutional goals to achieve this mission include the following:

  • Teaching a curriculum that balances the fundamentals of computer science and hands-on training for a profession in this industry.
  • Providing facilities and laboratories with industry grade equipment, servers, and software.
  • Teaching the ethical variances of computer science today with respect to computer security, codes of conduct, and ethics in the workplace for career training.
  • Instruction from knowledgeable computer scientists with experience in the industry to provide relevant real-world information embedded in their teaching methodology and curriculum.
  • Providing professionalism workshops coaching students in understanding the processes of finding a job in the computer science industry including; writing resumes, cover letters, preparing project portfolios, preparing for an interview, and providing placement assistance to students if available.
