Books should be returned to the administrative office when the library is closed. In an emergency, access to the library can be requested from the office staff. For research help when the library is closed, please use Ask?Away, an online reference chat service. |

Loan Period: |
Three weeks, with one two-week renewal
allowed if no one is waiting for the requested item. Books may be renewed
over the phone, in person or at the office when the library is closed. Interlibrary
loan books are due according to the date set by the loaning library. |

Fines and fees: |
The fine for overdue materials is
$.25 per book per day. The fee for lost or damaged books is $60.00 or higher
(depending on the value of the book). All fines and fees must be paid by
the end of the semester prior to the issuance of grades, diplomas transcripts,
and letters of recommendation. |

Library card: | A valid student identification card serves as the library card. |

Reference and Research: | Reference service and materials are available to all KSI faculty, staff and students during library hours and by special appointment after hours. For research help when the library is closed, please use Ask?Away, an online chat service. Reference materials regardless of format should not be removed from the library.
Students conducting research for their theses should make an appointment with the KSI librarian to discuss their thesis topics and their research needs. Appointments can be made during library hours or by special appointment by e-mailing the KSI Librarian at ksilibrary ksi.edu.
