Chapter 6. Conclusion
Through this product, some conclusions were achieved:
- Multimedia is the fashion of the world. The growth of Multimedia is so dramatic that it almost is relative to every field, like Game, CALI, Education, Business, Recreation, and so on.
- The integration of Multimedia and Database system will give Multimedia wilder space to develop. So far, most of multimedia haven't not built close relation to database system, and just focus on the fixed rules to act with users. From this point of view, its flexibility is stationary, and usually it will take more time to rewrite and recompile program to fit other requirement for the various situation. Using database system can fully utilize the advantage of database system.
- The main purpose of this project is to build the communication interface of Multimedia and Database System. The demonstration of integration of Multimedia and Database System is the kernel of the program. If using it for the real travel agency, you could connect some bridges to cooperate with other systems, such as following:
- Hotel On-Line Information System--connect to the Hotel Company, get the information of hotel, and also do the reservation for the customer.
- Air-Line On-Line Information System--connect to the Air-Line Company, check the Air-Line information, and make order for the customer.
- Finance System--provide the accounting information, periodic reports, and finance control.
- Human Resource System--connect to the Human Resource System. Because this program classifies the users by giving two kinds of priority, it needs the staff information to separate them into the correct priority.
- For developing program, using good tools and choosing right tools are very important to the programmers. In developing program, the role of user must be considered, that is what kind of users are your customers, and what kind of equipment they have, because those concepts will affect the idea and structure of the program.
