Call For Demo Presentations

There will be a joint demo session of the 18th International Conference on Distributed Multimedia Systems DMS 2012 in conjunction with 2012 International Workshop on Distance Education Technologies and 2012 International Workshop on Visual Languages and Computing, Eden Roc Renaissance, Miami Beach, USA August 9 - August 11, 2012 (URL: http://www.ksi.edu/seke/dms12.html).

Researchers are invited to submit a fresh demo, or a demo for a paper already submitted to any conference session (you still must follow the instructions below to prepare and submit your work for this session. If accepted, a separate registration by at least one author is required).

A best demo award will be granted by DMS 2012 based on the demo's innovation, technical contribution, and presentation.

The descriptions of accepted demos will be included in the proceedings of DMS 2012 (but are not considered conference papers). Demo presenters will be responsible for bringing and setting up any equipment needed for their demos. Please clearly state if any additional arrangements are required in a footnote to the demo paper.

DMS 2012 - Call for demos

The main theme of the 18th International Conference on Distributed Multimedia Systems (DMS 2012) is Multimedia Inspired Computing.

The demo track provides researchers and practitioners with a platform to demonstrate their new and innovative systems while interacting with their audience in an informal setting. Demo submissions should be concerned with mature systems or prototypes in which computing technologies are used to solve practically important problems or to make entertainment. Demo papers should make clear which aspects of the system will be demonstrated. It should include a discussion of the implementation and case studies of how the system is applied.

Software and hardware demos on the following topics will be considered, but are not limited to:

DET 2012 - Call for demos

The demo track allows researchers and practitioners in the e-learning field to demonstrate creative solutions on distance education. Demo submissions must be based on an implemented and tested system that pursues one or more innovative ideas in the e-learning area. Demos can be from the "traditional" research community but also can be from companies that are using software for training and motivating their human resources. Software and hardware demos on the following topics will be considered, but are not limited to:

VLC 2012 - Call for demos

Engaging demonstrations of the applications in the area of visual languages and computing are solicited for the joint demo session. Demos of both emerging academic prototypes and of cutting-edge industry developments are encouraged. Software and hardware demos on the following topics will be considered, but are not limited to:

SUBMISSION OF DEMOS

Submissions that address research and development on the above and other related topics are strongly encouraged. All the submitted demos will be reviewed by the international Program Committee members. Accepted demos will be published in the Proceedings of DMS 2012. Demo descriptions of up to two (2) IEEE double-column pages should be submitted electronically via the VLC 2012 paper submission page: http://conf.ksi.edu/vlc2012/submit/SubmitPaper.php (submission site will be open Jan 1, 2012).
