Computational Collective Intelligence for Distributed Knowledge Processing

special session in

The Twenty-Second International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering
(SEKE 2010)

Hotel Sofitel. San Francisco Bay, USA , July 1 July 3, 2010
Organized by Knowledge Systems Institute, U.S.A.

Computational Collective Intelligence (CCI) is most often understood as an AI sub-field dealing with soft computing methods which enable making group decisions or processing knowledge among autonomous units acting in distributed environments. Web-based systems, social networks and multi-agent systems very often need these tools for working out consistent knowledge states, resolving conflicts and making decisions. The aim of this workshop is to provide an internationally respected forum for scientific research in the computer-based methods of collective intelligence and their applications in (but not limited to) such fields as semantic web, social networks and multi-agent systems.

This special session will focus on the current research trends in the fusion of the collective intelligence, semantic web, and social network domains. The topics of particular interest to the session include but are not limited to:

Submitted papers must not be previously published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must adhere to all submission procedures of the 22nd SEKE 2010, including deadlines and paper format. In addition to submitting papers via the 22nd SEKE 2010 web site (see above for address), authors are required to submit a copy of their paper(s) by email to Ngoc Thanh Nyugen and Jason J. Jung on or before March 02, 2010 (the deadlines will follow any changes in the SEKE deadlines).

All papers accepted for the session will be published in the proceedings of the 22nd SEKE 2010. The session papers are considered as papers submitted to SEKE 2010, and they undergo the same review process. A selection of the session papers will also appear in special issues of Submitting your paper(s) to the special session, please select the "Special Session: Computational Collective Intelligence for Distributed Knowledge Processing - Nguyen and Jung" in the "Paper Type" menu appeared in the Paper Submission Form (
