SOA-Based Software Testing and Maintenance

Special Track in SEKE 2008

The Twentieth International Conference on Software Engineering and Knowledge Engineering (SEKE'08)

Hotel Sofitel. San Francisco Bay, USA , July 1 – July 3

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) introduces a new computing paradigm. It shifts the focus of software system construction from programming to integration with reusable software components that are globally available on the Internet. One of the key issues of this open framework is to establish the trust on the dynamically discovered and composed services, which present unique challenges to traditional software engineering techniques.

This special track is organized in SEKE08 to counter the challenges in dependable SOA. The track intends to provide an open forum for the latest research on testing and maintaining service-based systems. It seeks original research papers and practice reports on ideas, methods, techniques, tools, and experiences.

The topics give preference to service-based software, which include but not limited to the following issues:

Papers must be written in English. An electronic version (Postscript, PDF, or MS Word format) of the full paper should be submitted using the following URL: Please use Internet Explorer as the browser, and select the paper type “SOA-Based Software Testing and Maintenance”. Manuscript must include a 200-word abstract and no more than 6 pages of IEEE double column text (include figures and references).
