Sketch Computing

In recent years there is a growing interest by the research community into the definition of new and natural ways for interacting with pen-based computing devices such as handheld PDAs, tablet PCs, interactive blackboards, etc. The goal of this session is to establish and explore the main research areas involving sketch interactions. Graduate students, and junior faculty/researchers are welcome to present their research work.
TOPIC OF INTEREST
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- sketch recognition and matching
- sketch semantics
- interactive sketch-based interfaces
- sketch-based retrieval systems
- sketch programming
- sketch-based tools (bioinformatics, e-learning, etc.)
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All the submitted papers will be reviewed by the International Program Committee members. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of DMS 2010. When submitting your paper(s) to the special track on Sketch Computing, please select the item "sketch computing - Costagliola and Fonseca" in the "Paper Type" menu appearing in the Paper Submission Form (http://conf.ksi.edu/vlc10/submit/SubmitPaper.php).
